CITROEN BERLINGO DUO Switch offers you total flexibility - you can either drive from your wheelchair, or travel up front as a passenger from the comfort of your own Wheelchair or Transfer onto the Driver’s Seat. When you do want to switch places, simply unlock the seat using the quick release system, roll the chair backwards on the castors, re-position and lock into place. We can also offer you an optional fold down seat in the rear which accommodates two extra passengers.
Full remote control of the rear end means you have the option of opening the vehicle from within the home to allow the tailgate to lift and ramp deploy whilst you make your way to the car. From here you can enter straight into the Switch, lock into position, close the vehicle (again remotely) and begin your journey to wherever you desire.
To exit the vehicle simply press a button either on your key fob or dashboard and the fully automated rear end will open. Plus, the ramp has a shallow incline and an anti-slip coating.
The vehicle retains the original gear selector, with an electronic handbrake for ease of use. We can provide a broad range of driving aids which makes driving possible for individuals who may not have previously considered it an option; from simple push / pull hand controls to full joystick operation. Once you have decided on the exact specification you would like, your vehicle will then be tailor made to your exact requirements.
